This male Ring-necked duck was among a migratory group of aproximately two dozen males and females enjoying the farm pond. Members of this beautiful species are regular transients at the farm on their way north each spring. This photo was captured just before sunrise with subtle blue hour light reflecting on the calm surface of the pond.
